Hypnotism can be defined as the art to reach in a trace state. It is nothing unscientific or mystical; it is a technique which can be used to reach a state which can even take you to your past life. Hypnotism is also used in past life regression techniques. You must have heard that some learned people or experts in this field can hypnotize you in seconds but have you hear that you can hypnotize yourself? Yes, you can hypnotize yourself very easily. But now the question arises, how to hypnotize of your own? You can hypnotize by following few steps which are mentioned as followed:
- First of all obtain a posture which comforts you and relaxes you. You may sit or lay down as per your comfort level, but it should be a position in which you are the most comfortable. Now start looking straight, breathe slowly and just relax.
- Now make up your mind for the duration you will stay in this state. If you have decided for half an hour then stick to it. Promise yourself and abide it. If you will be able to maintain this trace phase for the time you decided then your level of happiness and satisfaction will increase tremendously.
- You should now find out the reason why you want to hypnotize yourself. Ask yourself that what you want to attain out of this therapy, what is the one thing you are expecting out of hypnotizing yourself. Ask yourself this question; this is a part of hypnotizing yourself. It is a technique which makes your unconscious mind to start working.
- To begin with, notice three things around you and see them one by one. Slowly you should move your concentration from one object to another. For strengthening power of your concentration you can name the things as you see them one by one.
- Now you should direct your concentration to your auditory channels. Just pertain yourself to hear the three sounds in your surroundings. This will allow you to focus and observe them rather then getting distracted from them. Don’t jump from one sound to another abruptly, hear one sound minutely and them move to the other.
- After hearing sounds, next you have to go deep inside yourself and observe your feelings and sensations. Analyze three feelings one by one. You should try to feel those sensations that you have not given your prior notice ever before. After all these three steps you have to close your eyes.
- After closing your eyes, just concentrate on some image. Construct some image if nothing at all comes in front of your eyes after closing. Feel free to imagine and construct. Now allow a sound to come into yours system. This sound can be any, be it in your mind or in your surrounding. Try to name this sound that you are hearing. Now feel something and name it instantly.
Repeat this cycle with two objects, two sounds, two feelings and then move to three. Get out when your allotted time is over. Initially you might feel that you felt asleep but this is not the truth. Some also feel spaced out or wandering. All these feelings may vary. You will surely notice change after one or two sessions.
